1. What We Do

We provide educational, impersonal research and interactive dashboards covering select North American energy companies. Core financial data is updated quarterly (based on company reports) with intermittent updates reflecting current stock prices and strip-price assumptions used in our DCF models.

2. Audience and Scope

Our Service is directed primarily to users in the United States and Canada. If you access the Service from other regions (e.g., EU/UK), you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ. Where required, we will honor applicable rights and requests. Minimum age: 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account Information You Provide
  • Identifiers/Contact: email address, username, first and last name (collected during MemberPress signup).
  • Credentials: password (stored in hashed form).
  • Support messages: information you choose to send when contacting us.
3.2 Billing Information (Processed by Stripe)

Payment method details (e.g., card number, CVC) are submitted directly to Stripe via Stripe Elements and are not stored on our servers. We may receive and store limited card metadata from Stripe (e.g., last 4 digits, brand, expiration month/year) and your Stripe customer ID for invoicing and receipts.

3.3 Usage, Device, and Log Information
  • Basic WordPress/server logs (IP address, timestamps, pages viewed, user agent, referrer) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Jetpack Stats (Automattic) may collect aggregated analytics such as page views, referrers, and approximate location. We do not use advertising cookies or ad pixels.
3.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies
  • Essential cookies necessary for login/session management and security.
  • Analytics cookies used by Jetpack Stats. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. How We Use Information
  • Provide, operate, and secure the site, dashboards, and subscription features.
  • Process subscriptions, free trials, payments, and invoices.
  • Communicate about your account and transactional updates.
  • Prevent fraud, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Analyze aggregated usage to improve performance and content.
5. How We Share Information

We share personal information with service providers acting on our behalf, including: web hosting/CDN, WordPress/MemberPress, Stripe (payments), and Jetpack/Automattic (analytics). We may also share information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, or property. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Your Choices and Rights
  • Access/Correction/Deletion: Access or update your profile in Account → Profile and manage your subscription in Account → Subscriptions. Request deletion at admin@energessresources.com.
  • Marketing communications: We primarily send transactional emails. If we later send marketing emails, you may unsubscribe via a link in such emails.
  • Cookies: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If we implement a cookie preferences tool, a “Cookie Preferences” link will appear in the footer.

California/other U.S. state privacy: We do not sell or share your information for advertising. Submit access or deletion requests to admin@energessresources.com; we will respond within required timelines. EEA/UK residents (if applicable): We process information as needed to provide the Service (contract), for our legitimate interests (security/analytics), and with your consent (cookies where required). You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object/restrict, and to data portability.

7. Data Retention
  • Account data: retained while your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure, unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
  • Billing/transaction records: typically retained for 7 years for tax/audit purposes.
  • Logs/analytics: typically retained for up to 12 months (aggregated thereafter).
  • Backups: retained on a rolling basis, typically up to 90 days.
8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including HTTPS/TLS and hashed passwords). Card data is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers or CVC on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on the site and, where appropriate, notified by email.
